The founder and CEO of the company Bumble, Whitney Wolfe has been making her presence felt in the business world for quite some time. She is perhaps most known for being co-founder of the major dating app Tinder. Wolfe has created an impressive resume that has led her to being named one of Business Insider’s 30 Most Important Women Under 30. Whitney Wolfe is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. Wolfe is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she majored in International Studies and was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her career in business began at a young age. At the age of 22 she began working with the company Hatch Labs. Her work her eventually led her to working with the company Tinder. She has dealt with both harassment and discrimination in a number of her positions. Wolfe recently was among a number of female entrepreneurs who gathered at Vanity Fair’s Founders Fair. This conference had a focus of sharing and discussing the challenges of starting a business, in particular for women.
